CADworks values the Autodesk Revit® platform as the best Building Information Modeling (BIM) solution. The Revit® platform has defined, and is synonymous with, BIM. Implementation of BIM, as the new standard in all aspects of the life of a project, has been met with certain hurdles; these can be overcome with the right knowledge, tools, and experience. CADworks has worked closely with Autodesk to become a Premier Provider for the Autodesk Content Network (ACN). CADworks is one of a limited set of companies in the world to hold this distinction and the only company currently to specifically provide certified MEP content to this network.

CADworks continues to develop the most comprehensive set of services to assist engineers, contractors, manufacturers, and the construction industry as a whole in the migration from paper-based to model-based processes. Beginning with a detailed review of your process, our team can better assess where your company has strengths and where there are training opportunities. Our experienced team will then will work with your company to begin the implementation process and train groups in Revit® essentials and create customized discipline-specific workshops in key areas that have been identified while working through a pilot project. CADworks' professional engineers work in close conjunction with our implementation experts to integrate the most accurate and up to date solutions into the training and project assistance phases.

The process continues with more developed tools, such as intelligent Revit® content that has been created and tested by our professional engineers in Revit® project systems while following the Revit® Model Style Guide. As a premier provider to the ACN, our content is at the forefront of industry standards. While creating custom content for manufacturers our team is continuing to help define current content practices and standards. The CADworks quality control standards for content produced in-house far exceed any of our competitors, including those set forth by Autodesk. Our engineers thoroughly test each piece of content before it is released. In response to current limitations of Revit®, we have developed a set of productivity tools to aid in the engineering design of building systems.

The AEC industry is evolving towards complete on-line management/collaboration, as they do this CADworks has met the challenge with the ideal solution. CADworks has developed WebAxis® for model management/collaboration, based on Sharepoint technology, to aid AEC professionals in the project administration. WebAxis® product is tailored specifically for the project on which it is being used.  Individual project schedules, Gantt charts, email alerts, documentation hosting, RFI logs, and project specific group contact lists are all easily integrated into one easy to use, easy to access site.

As a technology company as well as an engineering design firm, we realized the advantages of Revit® at an early stage and began to develop a process which allows integration and enhancement of design iteration. The utilization of a building information model reduces regeneration of model data for use in detailed energy analysis, focusing on lighting design, efficiency, HVAC system load analysis, and computational fluid dynamics.

CADworks also focuses on interoperability solutions for BIM to non-BIM collaboration and complete Revit® modeling. Through the Autodesk Developer Network(ADN), CADworks has established relationships that allow forward advancement of interoperability solutions for the AEC industry.
