Over a twenty-year period CADworks has built a reputation of responsiveness and quality for traditional CAD services. We offer CAD drafting and modeling, multimedia animations and presentations, and web collaboration for the AEC community. With the growing adoption of BIM, CADworks now focuses on interoperability solutions as well.

Modeling for Coordination

CADworks implements a variety of software to model architectural, structural and engineering systems. We model in Revit® MEP, Revit® Architecture, Revit® Structure, AutoCAD MEP®, CADduct®, CADmech®, and CADelec®. The advantage of using CADduct®, CADmech®, and CADelec® is the ability to go from coordination to shop to fabrication without remodeling. This saves time and money, thereby bringing considerable value to the contractor.

Coordination Services

CADworks is fully capable of organizing and running the Coordination phase of a construction project. We begin the process by tailoring our WebAxis® product specifically for the project on which it is being used.  Individual project schedules, Gantt charts, email alerts, documentation hosting, RFI logs, and project specific group contact lists are all easily integrated into one easy to use, easy to access site.

The Coordination meetings are run using Navisworks®. This software is highly effective for collision detection and clash reports. It is also unique in that multiple CAD and/or BIM platforms can be imported into one file, stripping down the base geometry for making the file lightweight. We upload all collision reports by trade and they are uploaded for all trades to see. We document and keep track of schedule and issues. CADworks can supply hardware and software where a turnkey solution is necessary.
